Interim Mayor, Ruslan Codreanu, requested the administration of Lăstăraş kindergarten from the Capital to be fired. After receiving multiple complaints from parents, the official ordered a control, following which multiple breaches were established.

It was established that between 2016-2017, using the Lăstăraş Association, parents were forced to hand over close to 14 million lei. Taking into consideration that for all preschool institutions the municipal budget allocates 21 million lei.

"Taking into consideration that this problem was present in reports of the Ministry of Education that mentions conflict of interests and illegal activity, I do not understand why the Education Department has not annulled the competition? Starting today, the competition will be canceled and the directors will be fired" Ruslan Codreanu said.

Interim Mayor also mentioned that the former director led the institution for the past 28 years, while after his resignation the seat was taken by his son and daughter-in-law.

"At the competition participated Bogaşevschi Dorian, who is his son and Ceauşeac Iana, his daughter-in-law. Iana Ceauşeac was named director, while Bogaşevschi Dorian became director of Lăstăraş Association" interim mayor of the Capital declared.

Ruslan Codreanu requested competent bodies to investigate the case. The official also urged all directors of the kindergarten to present the expenses report, to ensure transparency. Lăstăraş kindergarten is attended by 700 children.
