PDM spokesman Vitalie Gămurari declared that if people wish for an European Capital then everyone must go to vote.

"From the start PDM suggested for all pro-European parties to make an agreement and chose a single candidate to run for Chisinau mayor, that will be able to resist PSRM. In the end, the parties that declare themselves pro-European and democratic, refused our idea, each trying to promote their own candidate. PDM decided to send a message toward all its supporters and members, for all those who wish for a change in Chisinau, for an European Capital. We urge all citizens to go and vote on May 20, to prove that they care" Vitalie Gămurari mentioned.

At the same time, PDM spokesman said that all people need to understand, within those elections, there are to parties that have no right to run for Mayor.

"After two years, there are two parties that have no right to run the Capital. We speak of Socialist Party and Liberal Party. Citizens must go and vote, to make a choice" Vitalie Gămurari added.

11 candidates are running for Chisinau Mayor, after Reghina Apostolova, candidate from Şor party, was removed from the ballot.
