In Republic of Moldova drunk driving is becoming a common phenomenon. Even if authorities have recently made the sanctions harsher, it has not done much.

Therefore, law enforcement suggest more drastic measures, such as the withdrawal of driver's license in case someone is caught drunk driving.

Drivers that became a threat to pedestrians will only be able to regain their license after passing once again the driving test.
