No more traffic jams on intersection between Balcani highway and Petricani streets

The most crowded intersection from the Capital won't have to face traffic jams anymore. Starting today, there was installed a traffic light at the intersection between Balcan highway and Petricani street.
Nine led traffic lights will manage the traffic at this intersection.
There weren't any traffic lights in the zone before, so in the most crowded hours, the traffic jams were of kilometers and there were a lot of accidents.
Now, the drivers say that the traffic will be easier now.
Officially, at ten am, the traffic was stopped.
The traffic will be managed by traffic lights, that were installed in four directions at the intersection between Petricani street and Balcani highway.
The new traffic light are equipped with an intelligent system that decided to modify the colors in the intersections. Additionally, the traffic lights have LED lights, that are more economic.
The drivers who circulate more often in this zone say that it is always crowded.

The installation works of the traffic lights took two weeks and 600 thousand lei were allocated from the state budget.
"After Petricani street was repaired, it started to be very crowded. Especially, the intersection between Balcani highway and Petricani street", said Vadim Branzaniuc, the spokesman of Chisinau City Hall.
The independent candidate for Capital mayor elections will make sure that the traffic lights work. At the end of the last year, there were installed similar traffic lights on Balcani highway at the intersection wit Tudor Vladimirescu street from Durlesti town, but also in Durlesti and Dumbrava villages.
