Director of a professional school from Chisinau will stand trial, being accused of embezzlement of foreign property and fraud with the use of the service situation, causing considerable damage.
The suspect is accused of having stolen the salaries, therefore money, of some of the employees, for over one year. Additionally was proven a fictive employment of a person, with the purpose of gaining their salary.
Between January 2017 - March 2018, the school's director identified vulnerable people that would be employed in the institution. Later, through abuse, the director took their bank cards, on which salaries were transferred, to take out the money and use them in personal interests. To hide the crimes and avoid complaints, the institution's director would offer to the employees part of their salaries. The rest of the money, usually between 3 000 and 4 000 lei, depending on the employee, were taken by the suspect.
The director confessed. He willingly recovered all damages caused to the state, amounting to 62 833 lei. At the same time, law enforcement confiscated from the suspects money and goods worth 1 500 Euro.
The court will following establish how the employees will be compensated, the fraud causing them to lose to 151 460 lei.
If found guilty, the man risks from 2 to 6 years of imprisonment, while for fraud to the sentence might be added another 6 years.
