Protest in Capital. People contest fuel prices. Who organized it?
Many drivers and passengers of the public transportation from the Capital who were blocked in traffic organized a protest in the National Assembly Square. People were angry about the indexation of the fuel's prices. One of the main organizers is a mercenary from Donbass.
"The traffic is terrible."
"I was blocked in traffic 20 minutes."
The protest started in the National Assembly Square. The protest was organized by Valeriu Chirca, one of the members of PDA party.
"I am a peaceful person. -You behavior like an organizer. -No, Moldova organized the protest", said Valeriu Chirca.
Previously, the RISE journalists made an investigation and showed that Valeriu Chirca was involved in mercenary actions. He was exporting goods in the East of Ukraine. The man denied these accusations. Also, he participated at many protests organized by PDA and attacked PUBLIKA TV team. Even if they don't have the right one of the candidates to run for mayor came at the protest to give indications to the drivers and to promote him.
The protesters went on many streets of the Capital and requested the authorities to leave the fuel prices as those were previously.
"The prices should we lower."
"I want them to decrease."
When they returned in the National Assembly Square, the protesters blocked the traffic. This thing made the passengers and the drivers angry.
"I am ill, I am thirsty."
As the protest took a couple of hours, the organizers brought water.
"Are you thirsty? -Yes."
Recently, ANRE suspended their last decision regarding the indexation of the fuel prices. A liter of gasoline costs 19 lei 55 bani and one of diesel costs 17 lei nine bani. The last prices were announced after Pavel Filip, the prime minister of Moldova was worried about the indexation. The official asked the ANRE to explain their decision. Also, Pavel Filip will hold a meeting with the oilmen.
