An elder from Chisinau has transformed her apartment into a shelter for cats. Neighbors complain of the horrible smell in the block, as well as the fleas that invade their houses. The old woman though, denies all accusations.

The 69-year-old pensioner is living alone in a 3 bedroom flat in a block on Cornului street.

Despite claiming to own only 3 cats, more could be seen at the balcony.

"- There are no fleas. The neighbors have them, I don't. - Is your apartments clean? - Yes."

The elder claims that she has a soft stop for other animals and takes care of them, but only by feeding them outside.

"- I pity the cats that live on streets and feed them. - What do you feed them with? - Dried food for cats and chicken bones."

Some neighbors claims that they are sick of the mess caused by the felines.

" I should have kept all the bills from each time we disinfected the block and garage from fleas."

"It bothers me."

According to residents, previously, the old woman also sheltered dogs in her apartment.

"There used to be many dogs. They were very loud. Our neighbor from the 3rd floor is a police officer and one day he came with two cars, loaded them all and took them to a shelter."
