The Cabinet of Ministers approved the project of law regarding the ratification of the Agreement and the Wold Organization of Tourism (UNWTO), in order to organize the World Wine Tourism Organization, signed on April 20, 2018. According to the document, the event will take place between September 6-7, in Chisinau. The world conference targets to promote the wine tourism.  

"The agreement will have a positive effect on the economy and rank our country in the top of the touristic destinations of the country. The Republic of Moldova has a good potential necessary to develop a touristic sector, that might bring good benefits for the economy of the country. The cooperation with the World Touristic Organization will promote our country on an international level", said Chiril Gaburici, the minister of Economy and Infrastructure.

Within the conference, there will be organized promoting organizations of the wine sphere: the news of the sphere, workshops, visiting touristic objectives, experience exchange and so on. At the event will participate officials from the EU, the Community of the Independent countries, professionals, repesentatives of the wine countries.

At the moment, almost 20 wineries from the country export wine. In 2017, the Republic of Moldova organized and hosted the 61st Reunion of the Regional UNWTO Commission for Europe, that has an important resonance in all the countries that participated to promote our country.
