Republic of Moldova is interested in strengthening relations with South Korea
Republic of Moldova appreciated the good collaboration relations with South Korea over the past few years and reiterated its interest in strengthening those by amplifying the bilateral dialogue in all fields- politics, economy, culture, education etc. The declaration was made by Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Tudor Ulianovschi, who met with Ambassador Lee Yang-Goo.
The official believe an important step in intensifying bilateral relations, launching investment, cultural and other projects would be strengthening the political dialogue between the two countries. Minister Ulianovschi reiterated Moldova's interest in organizing interministerial political consultations aiming to exchange opinions on problems of common interest in bilateral and international relations. The officials also spoke of the current regional and international agenda.
Minister Tudor Ulianovschi expressed his gratitude for the technical and financial assistance offered through Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), mentioning that Moldovan authorities will appreciate its further extension in various fields, by elaborating and implementing mutual advantageous projects, particularly organizing training competitions for entrepreneurs activating in various fields.
Minister Ulianovschi also spoke of abolishing visa requirements for citizens of Republic of Moldova, who travel to South Korea, as South Korean citizens can enter Republic of Moldova without visas since 2014.
In his turn, Ambassador Lee Yang-Goo reiterated the interest of South Korean authorities to extend the bilateral relations with Republic of Moldova in various fields of common interest. Here, the ambassador mentioned that South Korea will continue to support authorities from Moldova in implementing various programs in the field of education, ICT, agriculture etc. as an example being the donation of 150 computers from Jeju island to educations institutions from Moldova.
