Opinions of Marian Lupu and Andriy Parubiy on the creation of Parliamentary Assemblies Moldova, Georgia and Ukraine
President of Moldovan Parliament, Andrian Candu, will take part in the second inter-parliamentary summit between Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine: Consolidation of regional cooperation and security, by developing collaboration with EU and NATO. The event takes place in Kiev.
At this reunion will be signed another document that will create parliamentary assemblies Moldova, Georgia and Ukraine.
Previously, co-president of Euronest, Marian Lupu, declared that this platform aims to integrate those three countries in the European community.
Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, Andriy Parubiy, declared at the beginning of the week that the creation of this common structure is an important step for the country and proves to the world that those three states need to unite to withstand Russia's aggression. The official claimed that Ukraine has much in common with Moldova and Georgia, as all countries were previously occupied by Russia.
The first inter-parliamentary summit between Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine took place on March 2 in Chisinau, when the three Presidents of the Parliament decided to join forces to promote a common defense and security policy.
The summit from Chisinau was organized in partnership with the Atlantic Council and spoke of issues tied to informational security, energy, defense, as well as regional economic growth. The event was attended by about 150 senior officials and international experts, including heads of the legislatures, MEPs and US Congress representatives.
