DescOperă open air classical Festival to blow up Old Orhei
The classical music will take place for three days at the cultural - natural reserve Old Orhei. The DescOpera classical outdoor music festival returns to its third edition.
Guests are expected from 15 to 17 June in Butuceni's natural amphitheater to enjoy the immortal works.
The event is part of the campaign to promote Moldova as a tourist destination and is organized by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, in collaboration with the National Theater of Opera and Ballet Maria Biesu and the National Philharmonic Serghei Lunchevici.
"All shows will be in different locations. The opening with Carmina Burana will be in the so-called Green Theater. Opera Nabucco, traditional in the Great Stage. And the closing concert on the river, on the improvised stage of Răut, "Culture Minister Monica Babuc said.
This year, the organizers have prepared a special musical program, and guests will be able to enjoy classical music as well as traditional dishes and Moldovan wines.
"There's a lot of music. Another program Strauss will be in this year. I'm sure that there will be great interest this time", said the director of the National Philharmonic, Svetlana Bivol.
Owners of Butuceni pensions say they have prepared a lot of surprises for all those present at the festival.
"We've arranged everything. Lots of surprises for people", said the owner of the pension, Anatol Butnaru.
The symphonic orchestra will be directed by Austrian Friedrich Pfeiffer.
"Those at the National Opera and Ballet Theater and those at the National Philharmonic are simply extraordinary. Their music is at the highest level, "said conductor Friedrich Pfeiffer.
All those who want to go to the DescOpera open-air classical music festival are expected on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at Butuceni. The ticket price for one day varies between 200 and 350 lei. And for students and retirees, the cost was reduced to 150 lei.
