Wages rising in Moldova! Average salary in the first trimester of 2018 reached 2353 lei

Wages in Republic of Moldova are rising. In the first trimester of 2018, the average monthly wage was of 2 353 lei, by over 10% more than in a similar period the previous year.
At the same time, expenses people bear have also increased by 11.4%, having reached 2 330 lei. According to the National Bureau of Statistics, people in the city receive by 1.5 times more than those from villages.
The main source of income for Moldovans are salaries, which covers 41% of the total. Another 24% of the money come from indemnities or benefits. Money transferred from abroad remain another important source of income, covering a bit over 17%. While independent activities have covered 13% of the citizens' needs.
Statistics show that most money, 44%, are being spend on food. To pay bills, Moldovans use around 18% of their incomes, while 10% are used to purchase clothes and shoes. Another 7% of the money are being invested in health.
