A staff member of Prison No. 13 and an attorney were arrested yesterday by NAC officers and prosecutors, after being documented for a while - during which time they received 6 000 Euro to solve the problem of an inmate.

During the investigation, the suspects were documenting receiving the money in two tranches. According to the denouncer, the suspect requested 6 000 Euro from an inmate, claiming to be able to influence the judges from Chisinau Court, Centru office, making them take a decision to release the inmate on parole.

At the moment, the two are being questioned by NAC officers and prosecutors to establish the identity of all suspects. They are being accused of influence peddling and if found guilty, risk to receive a 7 year sentence.
