Roadworks are being done within the time limits. Over 160 roads were already rehabilitated within the national program Good Roads for Moldova, launched by the Government. The number of finished portions is much bigger then the ones forecast for this stage, claims president of PDM,  Vlad Plahotniuc.

According to the project, to this point 100 roads were supposed to be repaired. Both quality and numbers being important. The Government will carefully monitor the works.

"I requested the staff to continue working at the same pace, for people to enjoy good roads as soon as possible. Moreover, I have requested that in places where irregularities will be detected, the constructors will be forced to redo the portion, using their own money" Vlad Plahotniuc declared.

In Soroca, to this point, roads leading to two villages were asphalted, while in another four settlements works are performed from dawn to dusk. Over one km of road from Căinarii Vechi is already finished, 1.5 million lei being spend for rehabilitation.

Employees ensured that the works are of good quality:

"We can check the temperatures lost on the asphalt and its quality."

Drivers claim that such works are welcomed, as roads were not repaired since the Soviet times.

"I can see people are working. No more potholes and broken asphalt."

In Bădiceni village, rehabilitation works one a portion of the village's road was finished.

"I am proud walking on such a beautiful road. I feel like I live in an European country."

By the end of summer, roads will be repaired in 57 out of 68 settlements from Soroca.

"58.3 million lei were allocated. There are also regional and local roads, streets" Technical Director of the State Road Administration of Soroca, Serghei Nastas said.

In total, within Good Roads for Moldova program, launched by the Government, at the initiative of PDM's leader, will be rehabilitated over 1 200 km of roads. The investments having reached 1.6 billion lei.
