Chişinău Court, Centru office, has not validated Andrei Năstase's mandate. The decision was announced yesterday, after two and half hours of debates.

"The court has decided: The legality of local elections to select a new Mayor for Chisinau, held on 20th May 2013, 3rd June 2018 is not confirmed."

Leader of the Dignity and Truth Platform Party declared the decision arbitrary and said that the court breached the law.

"We will take this decision. Within the legal established terms we will make an appeal and see the decision of Chisinau Court of Appeal" Andrei Năstase said.

During the meeting, dozens of people stood in front of Chisinau Court, Centru office, to support Andrei Năstase. The official though, requested them all to go home.

Immediately after the announcement, socialist Ion Ceban wrote on Facebook that he was surprised by the decision, which he also believes to be incorrect. The official wrote that more details will be offered within a press conference.
