Cooperation between Republic of Moldova and Czech Republic discussed in Prague
State Secretary, Daniela Morari has met in Prague with Czech Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Jakub Dürr and Jana Sindelkova, Czech Special Envoy for Eastern Partnership. The officials spoke of the reform agenda and the political dialogue between Moldova and EU, as well as methods to extend cooperation within the Eastern Partnership.
The talks were based on the latest developments within the political dialogue Moldova-EU, main results and threats in implementing the Association Agreement, European officials accentuating the importance for Republic of Moldova to continue implementing reforms, as well as to consolidate the capacities for strategic communication.
State Secretary, Daniela Morari presented Republic of Moldova's priorities regarding cooperation within the Eastern Partnership, as well as the current stage of implementing the priorities of the Eastern Partnership by 2020. Here, talks were held on the possibility to develop new initiatives in bilateral cooperation, as well as extend cooperation among Eastern Partnership member states.
The parties exchanges opinions regarding EU's security and defense policy, the regional security situation, including the process of solving the conflict with Transnistria. Republic of Moldova received assurance that European partners will continue offering support in identifying a viable and comprehensive political solutions to the conflict on the basis of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Moldova.
