The local elections for Chisinau City Hall mayor were not declared valid, because Andrei Nastase, the PPDA candidate and Ion Ceban, the PSRM candidate made electoral agitation of the silence day.

This was the reason why the Chisinau Court declared the election's result not to be valid. According to Rodica Berdilo, on June 3, the both candidates asked the citizens to come to vote.

"Many citizens came to vote, because I asked them to do so. I want to thank them", said Andrei Nastase.

After the Chisinau Court published their decision, Andrei Nastase contested the Court of Appeal.
