The Chişinău Court's decision not to validate the local elections was correct and should be applied without any changes. This is stated in a press release of the institution, which also states that the judges regret the denigrating messages to justice, as well as the media attack on Rodica Berdilo.

The law must be enforced in order not to endanger the democracy and its ignorance is self-denial, the statement says.

The magistrates have also brought the example of Austrian presidential elections that weren't validated two years ago, because of the encroaches.

The Austrian Constitutional Court invalidated the presidential election, because of the irregularities in counting the votes and decided to repeat the ballot.
