70 best craftsmen from Moldova displayed their works at Fair organized around Soroca Fortress
The land around Soroca Fortress became a fair. 70 most famous craftsmen from the country have participated in the Masters Fair.
Artists have displayed their best hand-made creations.
Lidia Marin has been creating items for over 40 years. The woman claims that all her goods are made out of natural materials.
For better sales, some craftsmen try to follow the latest fashion trends.
"The hat costs 200 lei, while the basket 250 lei. Those are symbolic prices. I have sold today baskets..." craftsman from Sângerei, Vera Rusu said.
Pictures that costs to a few thousands lei were also being sold.
"The most expensive painting costs 2 800 lei" painter from Bălţi, Anatol Banar said.
Customers believe the prices to be small compared to the amount of input work, therefore are happy to shop.
"I purchased some earrings, a bracelet. The craftsman has done an amazing job."
Despite the small prices, some craftsmen claim that they have not sold much.
"Perhaps today is more of an exposition rather than fair" craftsman Marina Uspeckaia said.
"The sales are not very good, but the atmosphere is amazing" craftsman from Căinarii Vechi, Nina Manea said.
Several folk ensembles have set a good mood.
Organizers claim that the fair is meant to promote traditions.
The event reached its 7th edition, while for its organization were spend 15 000 lei.
