Over one thousand soldiers will receive monthly allowance to pay the rent. To receive the allowance, they should write sign a contract with the owner of the flat. The allowance won't exceed the salary of the person. The soldiers say that they will use the money to pay the rent and for other needs also.

Petru Grecu is from Dorotcaia village, Dubasari village. During two years, he and his wife changed many apartments. Now, they rent a flat with a friend of them and pay 150 Euro monthly.

"I pay for a half of the price and my friend for the other half", said Petru Grecu, lieutenant.

Soon, the woman and the man will have a child and the allowance will be of a great use for them.

"It is a great advantage, especially because we are waiting for a child", said Mihaela Grecu, the wife.

Now we can save some money.

Among the 1 400 people who requested the rent allowances, the majority of them are from Chisinau.

"People who don't own their flat can benefit of allowances that will help them pay the rent", said Eugen Sturza, the minister of Defense.

The Government decided to offer similar facilities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs employees.
