Pavel Filip about second deportations wave: Nothing and nobody will ever heal this pain
Today is national mourning day. The prime minister Pavel Filip took a minute of silence to commemorate the victims of the second deportations wave in Bessarabia.
"Dear friends, today is a sad day for the Republic of Moldova. We are here to commemorate the victims of the deportations.
We knows as IUG, the deportations that ook place on July 5 and 6, 1949 is the biggest deportations wave in the history. During a night, almost 1000 persons were transported in Siberia.
The lists of the persons who were deported were long ago these started. These people didn't have the right to defense. This is a tragedy in the history of our nation.
For three weeks, these people faced hot weather, smell of salted fish, thirst. The wagons of death left many families without mothers and fathers.
The persons who were deported were the ones who didn't fit the soviet mentality. They left Molodova without its values and good leaders.
These wounds still bleed. We should commemorate them every year. Nothing and nobody will heal this pain", said Pavel Filip, the prime minister of Moldova.
Also, Pavel Filip mentioned that this year, the persons who suffered after the second deportation wave will benefit of many facilities.
