Seventh edition of National Day of Traditional Suit organized in in Palanca village, Calarasi district

The national traditions were remembered in Palanca village, Calarasi district. There was the second edition of the "Popular Port Day". Dozens of craftsmen have come to present their creations, which keep alive the history of the nation and the atmosphere was provided by many folk groups in the country.
The Lungu family has been making popular costumes for a long time. They inherited the tradition from their parents.
"Me and my husband were looking through the village for some ornaments, we collected, and one day I started working", said Serafima Lungu, craftswoman.
"I am glad that the popular costume is brought back to life and reborn", said Simion Lungu, a craftsman.
And from her grandmother, Raisa says she taught to weave carpets.
"I chose small towel and weave small towels, because my mother's house was, until Christmas, on carpets", said Raisa Lungu, a popular craftswoman.
The festival was organized at the "House of Parents" Museum in the locality.
"Everybody is coming to their harbor today, to celebrate on green grass in the courtyard of the parent's home," said Tatiana Popa, director of the Parent House Museum.
The visitors were impressed by what they saw.
"It's a festival that awakens you to the love of life. The popular port, everything that belongs to the people, we see in front of us."
"Very beautiful, very beautiful, we are impressed. Great."
The festival will end in the evening, when a big fire will be organized for the Night of the Sleepers. The feast was considered by the girls as an opportunity to find out who will be their husband.
