The Government will allocate 26 million lei to build an aqueduct in eleven villages from Hancesti district.
The decision to allocate the money for strengthening the infrastructure of the localities near Prut river was taken yesterday within the session of the The Management Board of the National Ecological Fund. After the aqueduct will be built, over 17 thousand citizens will have the opportunity to get connected to the aqueduct.
"The decision to allocate the money was taken after the Waters of Moldova Agency applied a damarche to request funding the next stages of the "Drinking water for Hancesti district" project. The project will offer the opportunity to connect the the network from Nemțeni, Obileni, Cățeleni, Ivanovca, Sărăteni, Leușeni, Onești, Strâmbeni, Costești and Bujor. The 26 million lei are necessary to realize the fourth stage of the project", said Liviu Volconovici, the minister of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment.
At the same time, the minister said that the Waters of Moldova Agency will monitor the building works and will make sure that the project limits are obeyed.
The representative of the Waters of Moldova presented their arguments regarding the necessity to continue the project and said that the work will be finished by the end of October.
In this context, Vitalie Farima, the chief of the Funds Service of development within the ministry said that:"Of the allocated sum in the National Ecologic Fund the Pumping Station and Treatment Station will be built and installed.
We remind that the project to build the aqueduct in the villages near Prut was started in 2014. The cost of the project is 72 million lei. Till the present moment, work worth 22,6 million lei was finished.
