Starting September 1, the teachers will receive higher salaries. Such a decision was approved by the Government. Thus, teachers' salaries will increase by 8%.

"Due to the law regarding the salaries of the budgetary sector, yearly, these increase. The teachers' salaries will increase by 8%. 130 million are allocated in this sense", declared Octavian Armasu, the minister of Finances.

The teachers welcome the initiative of the authorities and hope that the salaries will be higher:

"Of course we are glad that our salaries will increase. We spend a lot of money on food and services."

"It is very hard to be a teacher, so our salaries should be higher."

According to the project, the salary will raise up to 6 460 lei and the ones of the university teachers till 4 840 lei.
