The fees for the inheritance will be reduced to 351 lei. This significant discount will be done by avoiding some acts, but also by offsetting by the state some of the fees that have been paid so far. The statement was made by the DPM chairman, Vlad Plahotniuc, during the weekly meeting of the Democratic Party of Moldova.

"Today, we discussed about the citizens' requests that we have heard at the meetings we have permanently in the territory, and one of these refers to the high taxes for the inheritance.

 Nowadays, citizens pay to the notary and the Public Services Agency for inheritance documents about 2 000 lei, we have found solutions to reduce the taxes to the amount of 351 lei. This significant reduction in the amount paid will be done by eliminating some acts, but also by offsetting by the state some of the fees that have been paid so far.

The measure strictly targets inheritance procedures, not those for sale, which we will deal with later. To reduce these taxes, we need a legislative change and I have proposed to my colleagues from the Democratic Party faction to urgently submit the initiative to Parliament and vote it by the end of the session so that citizens can benefit from it as soon as possible" , PDM chairman Vlad Plahotniuc said.
