Pavel Filip: I don't only want to build a multi functional arena, but also roads, hospitals, schools and so on
Today, during a briefing, Prime Minister Pavel Filip commented once more on the reason to build Chisinau Arena.
Thus, Pavel Filip believes that things should be developed in parallel and the government does not only want to build the arena, but also to build several roads, hospitals, kindergartens and schools.
"We are trying to identify any elements to come up with criticism. If we continue to look at narrow things in the Republic of Moldova, then we will not move forward at all.
Obviously, what we will not do it now as the pensions are still low, salaries for budgets remain small. Even if we had a 100% economic growth, people will still be disappointed, because today's pension of 1,500 is not enough, even if we double the pension, 3,000 is not enough to have a decent life.
We understand this very well. We can not focus on channeling each leu coming into the state budget, only to increase the pension, or just to increase wages. All you have to do is to raise more studies that have been carried out in the Republic of Moldova, because every time there is an emphasis on very sensitive, very painful issues: that young people go abroad, that people are going abroad to earn more money and children are left out of the care of their parents. I want to tell you, because I was in charge of a field of Information Technology. In this area, the highest salaries are paid in the Republic of Moldova, on average the salary is not less than $ 100 per month.
At the same time, most of the young people who have a profession and go abroad are those in the IT field, because it is a well-paid profession. My question is: Do we solve the problems in the Republic of Moldova only through salary increases? No, because a responsible leader will try to look at things much wider. The young people do not just leave because of their salary, they leave because of the poor services and because of the infrastructure, they also leave because they have no place to do sports after all. It was a wonder for me that a solution was identified through this contest to build an arena in Moldova, which is constantly criticized by a very narrow category of people. I want to build not just one arena in the Republic of Moldova, to build more roads, hospitals, kindergartens and schools. Things must be developed in parallel", said Prime Minister Pavel Filip.
