Hundreds of mayors from the country condemns the European Parliament's resolution to stop funding Moldova. In this context, 713 mayors from Moldova came up with an open letter that notes that this resolution was voted at the suggestion of some opposition leaders from Chisinau. It blocks the development of our country.

"We want to write you in the name of all the localities from Moldova who want a good relationship with the European Union. We were sand when the European Parliament voted this resolution against the Republic of Moldova funding.

You certainly know that the progress registered the Republic of Moldova is great, especially in ways regarding the Association Agreement with the EU. We consider that the Court's decision was not right, but, definitely it has nothing to do with the Governance. It put the Republic of Moldova in less favorable image.

Also, we regret the thing that the deputies from an important group of the European Parliament believed the manipulation of some politicians from Chisinau who fulfilled their own interests. We want to inform you that it is not for the first time when PAS and PPDA asked to block the foreign funding for our country. We consider that these actions are against Moldova's citizens and using such a weapon in the war they have against the Governance is not fair. We are wondering if these politicians think about Moldova.

We inform you that many of our citizens whose mayors are we often ask us if the Europe will continue to invest in the projects from Moldova. Will Europe continue to build aqueducts. Will they continue to give money for the repair works of the roads? Will we have agriculture projects? If the answer is no, then the trust in the EU will decrease.

We hope that in the near future you will notice and appreciate the progress on our European path. We hope that the European commitment is on a long term. We also want you to listen the voice of the local administration, because we are the most close to the people and their problems.

Also, we hope that the country love of the politicians will be harder than their ambitions and own interests", wrote the mayors in the open letter of the mayors from Moldova.
