700 mayors from Moldova mad on Victor Topa's accusations regarding the open letter they sent to European institutions
The mayors who addresses to the European Parliament are disappointed that the macro financial assistance was stopped. Also, about the declarations of Viorel Topa, one of the leaders of Andrei Nastase. The former chief of Banca de Economii called villains the over 700 mayors who want a better life for the residents of their villages.
In a post on Facebook, Viorel Topa wrote that the mayors who addressed the letter to the European Parliament were well-paid to do so. Moreover, Topa thinks that they acted under PDM's command, even if they take part of different parties.
"Mr.Topa, you hear me or know me as a mayor, because we have met in Hrusova village, in 2003. Unfortunately, yours works are not only addressed to me, but to all the mayors. These words hurt and it is not gentle to say this", said Parascovia Cotovici, the mayor of Hrusova village, Criuleni district.
"The slander is in fashion here. We should solve our problems now, not in a year or more. It is easy to scream in the National Assembly Square, but we should do something more than that", said Nina Costiuc, the mayor of Budesti.
The mayors say that the villagers were waiting for the European money, that needed to be invested in infrastructure.
"Of course, we were insulted. Now, I am looking for resources to finish the sewerage repair works from the village", said Marcel Bobeica, the mayor of Gangura village.
Recently, the presidents of 27 district councils and 713 mayors addressed an open letter to the European institutions and talked about their regret in accordance with canceling the macro financial funding.
The local authorities accuse the Moldovan politicians of doing everything they can to compromise the processes of stabilizing the socio-economic situation, and the projects with social and infrastructure - stopped.
