Today, the Cabinet of Ministers approved a decision on the transfer of 144 state-owned enterprises and shares of 72 joint-stock companies owned by the ministries to that of the Public Property Agency. Among them there is also Moldova Railways (CFM).
"A number of institutions are going to be reorganized, merged, transformed into public institutions. First of all, we pass to the JPA, so that we can start managing these businesses as soon as possible, creating effective management and, in parallel, reorganization or transformation will be done very quickly, "said Pavel Filip.
Employees from the CFM did not receive their 3-month wages, with debts up to 100 million lei. Yesterday, during a working meeting with the Government, the prime minister criticized the Moldovan Railways for inefficient management of the company and indicated that, as soon as possible, wage debts should be extinguished, expenditure optimized and reorganized strategic enterprise.
At today's Government meeting, the Prime Minister asked the ministries to offer full support in the process of transferring and reorganizing businesses:
"Let us give all the support, because if we do not make such decisions, there will be even bigger delays. This is what many business people are interested in, but also in the institutions that you represent", said the prime minister, Pavel Filip.
