Minister of Finances comments on broadcasting fake information regarding TIR carnet prices
The minister of finances came with an information about the fake news regarding the TIR carnet prices.
Thus, in a press release, the minister of finances says:
The national an international legislation has a vast range of fiscal facilities such as allowances, discounts and so on.
Some of the support measures, as those that are state aid, are to be reported to the Competition Council by state aid providers, in the case of tax incentives by the State Tax Service and by the Customs Service.
Thus, by the Competition Council Decision no. ASER-46 of 28.06.2018, to which the journalist refers, it was found that the support measure granted under art. 7 of the Convention of 14.11.1975 on the international transport of goods under cover of T.I.R. The Convention (TII) does not constitute state aid within the meaning of Art. 3 of the Law no. 139 of 15.06.2012 on state aid. So, the Competition Council calls for this facility to no longer be included in the reports.
The implications of these decisions are limited only to the fact that the Customs Service will not report to the Competition Council the amounts of the exemption in question, as long as it does not constitute State aid.
Thus, the exemption provided for in an international act will not be canceled and TIR carnets will not be expensive.
