The retired benefit of pension indexation now.

After the indexation, they receive an allowance, in accordance with the worked years. Thus, some of the retired received over one thousand lei.

Svetlana Timpu from Petruseni village, Rascani district was a teacher for her entire live. During 40 years, she was a Russian language teacher and since 2011 she is retired. Now, she takes care of her grandchildren. Besides the household problems, she is a singer in the local choir.

"We participate at many concerts in the village and district. The songs heals our pain and bad thoughts", said Svetlana Timpu.

The woman says that at the beginning, her pension was small, but after the indexation she started to receive more and more money. Anyway, the difference is good.

"Now, my pension is higher. Now, I can take care of my grandchildren", said Sveltana Timpu

Maria Baibarac receives a higher allocation now. The woman was a teacher and a tutor and now is a secretary at the local council from Pociumbeni village, Rascani district. The pension allows her to enjoy the old age.

"The majority of the retired need money for pills and this is why this allowance is very good", said Maria Baibarac.

50 thousand people who got retired between 2012 and 2013 receive allowances since April. Also, starting October the persons who got retired between 2014 and 2017 will receive allowances.
