Good news! Pupils can start lessons half an hour later
Students could start the lessons half an hour later. This is the solution currently being examined by the Education, Youth and Sports Directorate of the Chisinau City Hall to reduce the number of those who are late in classes. One study shows that nearly five per cent of the students in the Capital are often late, largely because of traffic jams.
The most notable are high school students in the Râşcani sector. Their share exceeds nine per cent. The next in the list of those who are passing the threshold of the school late are high school students in the sector, seven percent.
The ones from Botanica sector, those in the big classes do not hurry to the lessons. Almost seven per cent of them do not catch the beginning of the first lesson. The most responsible, the figures show are the Buiucani students.
Just over three per cent of those who are late are in primary classes, almost five per cent of the gymnasium cycle and six per cent of high school grades.
According to the Education Department, of the total number of students in Chisinau, over 32 thousand go to school, over 20 thousand - with public transport and over 15 thousand are brought by parents by car.
In most schools in Chisinau, lessons start between the eighth and eighth hours. There is also an institution in which the bell sounds at 8:45, nine, and ten.
