Good news for hunters. Starting August 18 to October 14th, the hunting season for pigeons and quails is open. Hunters will have the right to catch in one day at least 20 quails and 15 pigeons.
From September 22 until December 30, it will be possible to hunt geese, ducks, lynxes, pimples and limes.
Wild boars can be hunted from September 29 until December 30, rabbits from November 25 to December 30 and pheasants from October 6 to January 13, 2019.
To avoid possible gun incidents, the Police recommend hunters to comply with security requirements for firearms and hunting rules:
- the weapon may be carried only by the license holder;
- the owner of the firearm is obliged to ensure the integrity of the weapon;
- wear heavy yellow or green or orange or heavy equipment or vests;
- it is forbidden to fire a loaded weapon in or near localities;
- the use of technical defects is strictly forbidden;
- when moving with any means of transport, the hunting weapon must be unloaded, disassembled and placed in the pouch;
- during loading or unloading of the hunting weapon, its pipes shall face upwards or to the ground and, after loading, the weapon shall be secured, if provided;
- the use of expired or degraded cartridges is forbidden, they must be sent to the authorized inspector for destruction;
- it is strictly forbidden to shoot on an unclear target (in a dense forest, during fog, in dusk, against sun, etc.);
- it is not allowed to shoot in the direction of a noise, such shocks can cause the most serious accidents.
If a weapon is detected, immediately report it to 112, and in case of incidents that have caused trauma, call for medical help at 903.
For committing an incident or offense with a gun, you may be penalized by an offense or criminal sanction, as well as the revocation and cancellation of a gun permit. A new weapons license can only be obtained over a 5-year period.
