Customs Service will operate at full capacity throughout mini-vacantion
All customs terminals will operate uninterruptedly throughout the mini vaсantion between August 27th and 31st. All this time, all border customs posts will be staffed in order to efficiently manage the flows of passengers. It is the request made by Customs Director Vitalie Vrabie to all customs offices in a video conference with their chiefs.
Under normal working hours, subdivisions will also function in the Central Office administration and in the customs offices. Employees of these entities will operate on the basis of approved work schedules, permanently assisting customs bodies to promptly examine all requests from economic agents and individuals.
"It is important for citizens and businesses to continue to benefit from quality services and not to allow interruptions in activity. I request maximum mobilization from the entire staff to ensure good functionality during this period. All control formalities must be operational so that people spend as little time as possible in customs.
The chief of the Customs asked for all traffic flow measures to be implemented, as it is estimated that there will be a significant increase in the flows of people who will choose to spend the minivan outside the country. The measures shall include the replacement of the number of staff and verification equipment, the use of all control lanes, including those on the opposite track, and the involvement of the heads of customs posts and their deputies in the performance of customs control.
The listed actions have been proposed to be implemented by the neighboring authorities in the neighboring countries to ensure expeditious control on both sides of the border.
The activity of Mobile Teams, which ensures the second line of control throughout the country, will be intensified, so as to avoid frauds that could damage the state budget.
