Cristina Balan, the USA Ambassador in the Republic of Moldova held a meeting with Chris Coons, the member of the Committee for Foreign Affairs from the USA Senate. Within the meeting, they discussed about such aspects as the internal reforms of the Republic of Moldova and the security issues.

Chris Coons has a good experience in foreign politics and international security. He is a member of the US Senate, the Committee for Foreign Affairs. In this context, the senator appreciated the Republic of Moldova's efforts to integrate in the EU. Also, they highlighted that the USA supports the efforts to fight again Russian hybrid war.

Senator Coons has also said he understands the efforts and progress made by our country as well as the risks from the outside.

At the end of the discussion, Senator Chris Coons recalled that he strongly supports the European integration objective of the Republic of Moldova and appreciated the excellent representation in the federal capital of the objectives and achievements of the Republic of Moldova, but especially of the citizens of our country by Ambassador Cristina Balan.
