Situation at border in last 24 hours: six people have violated regime of crossing points
As a result of the state border surveillance and control activities, preventing and combating illegal migration and cross-border crime, Border Police officers have registered the following illegal actions within 24 hours:
six people have violated the border and border crossing regime;
an attempt to cross illegally the goods across the border;
two drivers have ignored the transportation rules;
two foreign citizens have exceeded the term of residence on the territory of the Republic of Moldova;
three people in conflict with the law were detained as a result of the exchange of information with national law enforcement authorities.
At the crossing points, the flow of persons constituted 79,479 crossings, of which a higher number of passages - 42,515 was recorded on the exit line from the Republic of Moldova. Likewise, out of the total number of people crossed 47 318 were Moldovan citizens. Traffic of transport units showed a value of 17,318 crossings.
The most transit points were:
PTF Leuşeni - 14,381 people crossings,
PTF Chisinau International Airport - 10 733 people crossings,
PTF Otaci - 7,615 people crossings,
PTF Tudora - 6,145 people crossings,
PTF Sculeni - 7,163 people crossings,
PTF Cahul - 5,941 people crossings,
PTF Giurgiulesti-Galati - 5 382 people crossings,
PTF Criva - 3 322 people crossings,
PTF Costeşti - 3 222 people crossings
PTF Palanca - 2 289 people traverses.
At present, all crossing points operate normally.
Additional work measures to streamline cross-border traffic during the summer period:
supplementing the number of border guards;
the formation of mixed group of specialists within the IGPF, prepared to intervene with the necessary support at the most requested crossing points;
the application of portable reading equipment to travel documents, including special border control means;
redirecting traffic on free arteries, and opening the circulation for families with children on the diplomatic corridor;
at the request of the local public administration, the activity of the local crossing points will be initiated;
intensifying cooperation and mutual exchange of information with neighboring border authorities to jointly resolve unpredictable situations at the border.
In order to support the participants in cross-border traffic, the Border Police recommends:
checking the validity and status of the travel document on which the state border crosses.
transit of all existing border crossing points in order not only to overload some of them, and to avoid the formation of rows at the crossing points.
consult the "TRAFFIC ONLINE" application on the official Border Police website, which shows the average waiting times at the border crossings (road) for cars.
manifestation of understanding, patience and discipline, taking into account the rules of finding and crossing the state border.
