From September 1, the testing regime for the car registration points on the left bank of the Dniester River will be launched. Thus, drivers in the region who want to travel outside the country will be able to get the neutral numbers from the registration offices in the cities of Tiraspol and Ribnita.
In order to verify the preparedness of the vehicle registration offices, Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Cristina Lesnic and Tiraspol's political representative Vitali Ignatiev went to the Tiraspol office yesterday.
At present, cars registered by the unrecognized authorities in Tiraspol can circulate, as an exception, only in Ukraine and Russia. A vehicle will not be able to have two plates at the same time, and those who will decide to keep their Transnistrian number will only be able to circulate on the territory of the Republic of Moldova.
