Prime Minister Pavel Filip today convened a working session on the latest preparations for the third World Conference on Wine Tourism, to be held on 6-7 September.
Pavel Filip stressed that it is important to make the most of the opportunities offered by this prestigious international event to promote domestic tourism in general and wine tourism in particular. "Regretfully, nobody has developed domestic tourism, which can bring money into the state's treasury. They all focused more on international tourism. The Investment Agency (Organizer of the event) informed about the latest details of the World Conference readiness. The event has announced the presence of over 300 participants from around 60 countries on all continents. At the same time, 30 foreign journalists from Romania, Italy, Poland and China will talk about the conference.
Participants will be able to visit four famous wineries in Moldova: Cricova, Milestii Mici, Mimi and Asconi Castle, and also to discuss with the wine producers at the "Vatra" ethno-cultural complex. Guests will also take part in guided tours and wine tastings, gastronomic and cultural shows, as well as artisan exhibitions. Thus, the event will contribute to the promotion of the Republic of Moldova as a world wine tourism destination.
The Republic of Moldova will transmit "Amphora Wine" to the organization of the next World Conference on Wine Tourism in the Republic of Chile. The first two editions took place in Georgia and Argentina.
