Minister Tudor Ulianovschi discussed with German Parliamentarians aspects of Moldovan-German cooperation

Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Tudor Ulianovschi, on a working visit to Germany from September 5 to 7, had a series of meetings with members of the Bundestag, representatives of different parties, who discussed the aspects of bilateral cooperation, including the inter-parliamentary segment, as well as regional and global developments.
During the meetings with members of the Friendship Parliamentary Group with Bulgaria, the Republic of Moldova and Romania in the RFG Bundestag, led by MP Uwe Schultz, and members of the German-Moldavian Forum led by Deputy Chairman of the Bundestag Defense and Security Committee, deputy Fritz Felgentreu an exchange of views on topical issues on the agenda of the Moldovan-German political dialogue, the domestic evolutions in the country, the settlement of the Transnistrian conflict, the prospects of dynamizing the bilateral relations in various fields of common interest.
In this context, the head of the Moldovan diplomacy welcomed the extension of the dialogue within the German-Moldovan Forum and the commitment of Fritz Felgentreu, in his capacity of president, to strengthen the presence of the Republic of Moldova in the political and academic space of Germany, such as the Bundestag's annual invitations participation in the program "International Parliamentary Scholarship", intended for the graduates of the higher education institutions in our country, offering the opportunity to familiarize the participants with the German parliamentary system, the decision-making processes, as well as the accumulation of practical experience in the parliamentary activity. At the same time, it was welcomed the creation of a parliamentary friendship group with the Republic of Moldova in the new parliamentary term of the Bundestag.
Minister Tudor Ulianovschi presented the progress made in the field of European integration as well as the priorities of the Republic of Moldova in order to capitalize on the potential of the Eastern Partnership.
Members of the Bundestag reiterated their readiness to constantly boost Moldovan-German bilateral relations and further support our country in implementing the reforms provided for in the Association Agreement with the European Union.
