A 63 year old man from the Capital died after he was hit by a car, while he was illegally crossing the street. The tragedy took place last night on Calea Orheiului street. The victim was living near the place of the accident.

"I was in the yard and I have heard a strong noise. I saw my neighbor."

The residents of this zone say that the accidents happen very often in this area.

"This is not the first time when people die here."

The 47 year old driver refused to discuss with the press. According to the policemen, the man is from Cricova.

"The man was hit near the crosswalk. The driver was going to Socoleni street", said Vlad Acciu, press officer.

The police initiated a criminal case.
