Fines of over 376,000 lei for hairdressers and cosmetologists, applied by Fiscal Service

More than 70 hairdressers and cosmetologists were sanctioned by the Fiscal Service in the summer for tax violations. Consequently, fines amounting to 376,200 lei were applied.
Based on the available information, the SFS examined (country-wide) the indicators declared in the first 4 months of 2018 of 771 economic agents in this sphere of activity, identifying the risks of non-compliance.
As a result, in order to ensure efficient tax administration in respect of compliance with the provisions of the legislation in force, SFS has begun actions of compliance in the environment of economic agents providing cosmetic services and hairdresser services.
In 71 of these, tax visits were made; 7 taxpayers (with increased risk) were monitored through daily factual tax checks over a 2-week period; the activity of 120 taxpayers was subjected to operative tax inspections, as a result of which, in the case of 70 taxpayers, tax and contravention violations were established, with sanctions amounting to 376 200 lei; the activity of a taxpayer has been monitored from the point of view of the stationary tax office.
Monitoring actions for taxpayers providing hair care services and hairdressers will continue until the end of 2018.
In this context, the SFS urges all taxpayers to comply with the provisions of the legislation in force, "a statement from the Fiscal Service states.
