The Democratic Party will position itself more clearly on the political stage. The formation will be defined as a party for Moldova, as this is the result of the Moldovans' expectations.
PDM chairman Vlad Plahotniuc announced this after the meeting of the National Political Council of the party.
He said that in 27 years of independence, the parties activated through geopolitics, and none acted for Moldovans.
According to the Democratic leader, the formations have divided the citizens by categories and they have always been induced that the country's problems are resolved if you are pro-European, pro-Russian, pro-American or unionist.
It has also created the false feeling that someone outside of the country cares about the future of Moldova. Thus, these positions have shown that politicians have moved away from people and their problems and hid themselves after geopolitics, Vlad Plahotniuc said.
"But Moldovans face the same problems, whether they are pro-Europeans, pro-Russians, unionists or have no geopolitical option, and their problems are not solved geopolitically, but only through a good internal policy, made between Moldovans and for Moldovans, not outside the country, and this means that the representatives of our party are permanently among people, working in local communities, together with the authorities there, to come up with concrete projects and solutions for the identified problems", said PDM chairman Vlad Plahotniuc.
Vlad Plahotniuc also announced that the priorities of the governing program for the next period will be decided by Moldovans. The party's team will collect the proposals from the citizens, so that the will of the people can be found in the actions of the government.
"The government needs to adapt its actions to the urgent priorities of the population, and here the Democratic Party will come up with a series of proposals for new projects emerging from consultations with citizens, issues related to the increase of salaries and pensions of the people, new ones roads that have to be made, both local and national, the water supply of the localities, but also a very complex problem related to the collection of waste in the localities", said PDM chairman Vlad Plahotniuc.
This year, PDM initiated several projects to improve citizens' lives and develop the country. Prima Casa program helps Moldovans to buy a home easier.
Also, under the Good Roads Project for Moldova, about 1,200 km of road will be renovated, with investments reaching up to 1,6 billion lei.
