Thus, in the second quarter, the value of goods and services produced amounted to more than 44 billion lei, ie 5.2% more.
The biggest share in the formation of GDP is the trade with over 20%. The second sector by importance is the industrial one with a contribution to the formation of the Gross Domestic Product over 15%.
The construction sector has a share in the GDP structure of over 10 per cent, and agriculture - almost six per cent. Experts from the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank forecast for this year a steady increase in GDP to 3.8 percent.

PUBLIKA.MD reminds that, according to the International Monetary Fund, towards the end of the year Moldova's GDP will reach 163 billion lei compared to 160 billion, as previously expected.
In the first half of 2018, the Gross Domestic Product constituted in nominal value 81,775 million lei, current market prices, increasing - in real terms - by 4,5% compared to the first semester of 2017.
