The situation regarding measles and the issue of population immunization will be the subject of hearings today in the Parliamentary Committee on Social Protection, Health and Family.
A report in this respect will be submitted to the deputies of the representatives of the Ministry of Health. Officials will also provide data on the number of children who do not go to school because they are not vaccinated.
The Ministry of Justice will present legislative information on the immunization of the population. The measles epidemic has come to the attention of deputies after the authorities issued an orange disease code.
According to the National Agency for Public Health, the number of cases of measles has reached 282. The most affected are the Ceadâr-Lunga, Vulcăneşti, Ungheni and Taraclia districts.
