The value of the subsistence minimum in the first six months of this year was an average of 1895 lei per person and is up 1.6 percent from the same period last year.
According to the data, the largest amount was recorded in the Chisinau and Balti municipalities, over two thousand lei or almost 10% more than other cities. In villages, the minimum necessary income is over 1800 lei.
The highest value is usually for men capable of work. This is 2177 lei, compared to 1837 lei for women.
