Pavel Filip about Dodon's refusal to name new ministers: He doesn't respect the Constitution
Government will ask the Constitutional Court to suspend Igor Dodon, in case he will refuse to vote for Nicolae Ciubuc and Silvia Radu as new ministers.
The announcement was made by Pavel Filip. The prime minster says that the chief of the country doesn't do anything else than neglecting the Constitution's stipulations.
"He doesn't respect the Constitution. It is ridiculous. If he won't approve our candidates for the cabinet of minister, then we will ask the Constitutional Court for aid. We want a better cooperation between the state institutions", said Pavel Filip.
On the other side, Dodon declared that he won't change his opinion. The chief of the country explained why doesn't he want to approve these candidates.
He says he has nothing against Silvia Radu, but he is not a specialist. What about Nicolae Ciubuc, he said he has integrity questions to this candidate.
According to the Constitutions, the President can reject the candidates just once. If the prime minister offer the same candidates twice, he is obliged to sign.
Previously, Igor Dodon was suspended three times by the Constitutional Court. First time, it was in October 2017, after he refused to sign the candidate at the ministry of Defense. At the end of December, he refused to sign the decrees of seven other members.
Also, at the beginning of January, he refused to promulgate the anti-propaganda law. All this time, the documents were signed by Andrian Candu, the President of the Parliament.
