Minister of Economy and Infrastructure, Chiril Gaburici, participated in the festive ceremony organized on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the founding of the Foreign Investors Association (FIA).
Chiril Gaburici thanked the FIA members for their involvement and contribution to improving the investment climate in the Republic of Moldova. The minister urged businessmen to come up with initiatives that would help modernize the national economy. "I remember that 7 years ago I was also part of the Board of Directors of the Association and I am glad to see the number of members growing up. I am glad to work and succeed in partnership to create favorable conditions for all those who come and invest. I thank you all for the trust in our country, because you have come, invested and continue to grow your business here in the Republic of Moldova", said Minister Chiril Gaburici.
According to the President of the FIA, Alexander Koss, the exchange of experience and the joint coordination of the efforts of foreign investors and authorities can form a clear understanding of the specific problems and decisions that affect the business environment and the investment climate in the Republic of Moldova. "Foreign investors have brought in Moldova not just money. We have created an environment that allows us not only to secure the sustainable development of our business but also to positively influence the sustainable development of the whole country", said the FIA president.
At present, the Association of Foreign Investors is made up of 18 members from 11 countries with the largest Moldovan companies with foreign capital, employing over 16,500 people. The total investment of FIA member companies is about 1 billion 150 million euros. These companies operate in almost all sectors of the economy: industry, agriculture, infrastructure, telecommunications, medicine, distribution, consulting.
