A man died after waiting 40 minutes for doctors to intervene. The incident took place yesterday evening on Lech Kaczynski Street in the center of the capital.
According to the witnesses, who also called for the help of the doctors, the ambulance arrived too late and the man could not be rescued.
The incident occurred around 20:00 on Lech Kaczynski Street. One of the witnesses of the incident posted a social message on a social network saying he'd noticed the man falling down while walking around.
When she approached, she asked the people standing next to a man if they asked for help from doctors. They would have told him he was waiting for the 10-minute ambulance. Repeated calls to 112 would not yield any results.
"The call arrived at 8am and 10pm at 112, at 8am and 12pm the call was already received by the specialized ambulance service. We take over, reprimand the emergency calls and forward them, as we forward the ambulance and the card of the case we are transmitting, "said Carolina Sclifos, Head of Emergency Calling Department.
In the same post it is mentioned that the ambulance arrived on the spot more than 40 minutes after the first call. It had nothing to do but to find the man's death.
"Finally, more than 40 minutes after the first call, there is an ambulance that finds death." Death won the competition ... We greet the doctors, we revolt, calm and unstable, we are told that they do not get cars, that "Mrs, do you know where you live?", that we should address the Ministry of Health ... "says one of the witnesses.
Doctors would have blamed the large number of requests they would have.
However, officials from the National Pre-hospital Emergency Medical Center claim that doctors would have arrived much faster, and those who requested an ambulance would not have announced that it was an urgent case.
