122 crimes have been detected since the beginning of the year due to the involvement of leaders and members of neighboring sectors. One of the most recent cases occurred in Rediul Mare in Donduseni district. Due to the responsible and conscientious attitude of a supervised neighboring sector leader who appealed to the sector officer on time, it was possible
to discover a bicycle theft and return it to the owner. The police also found that the person who stole the bicycle at the time was suspected of committing other theft of goods in the given district.
The Sector-supervised Sector Program was implemented for the first time in the Republic of Moldova in 2013. Today, over 3,000 closely monitored neighborhoods are in the country, of which almost 32,000 are citizens.
