The National Agency for Energy Regulation will absorb the State Energy Inspectorate and will take over its responsibilities in the field of state energy surveillance. A resolution in this regard was approved today by the Executive, in the context of the central public administration reform.
Thus, The National Agency for Energy Regulation will ensure the control over compliance with the rules on the technical operation and the safety of the use of electrical installations, being also responsible for the rational use of electric and thermal energy in all spheres of the national economy.
The reorganization of the Agency is part of the actions taken by the authorities to reduce the number of bodies with control functions over the entrepreneurial activity. The National Agency for Energy Regulation will be the only control body in the electricity field and will have the right to employ employees of the State Energy Inspectorate within the limits of its internal structure.
Also today, the Executive has approved the reorganization of the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS). In this sense, the reorganization of the Bureau's central office follows the merging of subdivisions with homogeneous attributions. It will also be reorganized to the Financial Reporting Service by its liquidation and inclusion in the NBS subdivision. The territorial subdivisions for statistics will also be reorganized - the 35 subdivisions will be reorganized into 4 regional statistical centers.
The document also provides for the creation of a training center in the field of statistics. After reorganization, 702 people will be active in the institution.
